Experiential Ayurveda Immersion

April 7th, 2018

2:00 - 5:00

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word, meaning life knowledge. Ayurveda is the science of life. It is time tested and proven to support balance of mind, body and spirit. Its principles manifest through our personal constitution as well as the perceived world around us, such as the seasons, weather, food, and time.

In this one day immersion, you will learn the foundations of Ayurveda and access deeper levels of understanding through the lens of the Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. The Doshas can be considered organizational tools which help us understand and more intimately experience the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space (ether). We will explore the elements through this lens of the Doshas by using our bodies as a reference point for meditation, movement and the senses. There will also be presentation, discussion and food samples.

The goal of the workshop is to give you a tangible experience and empower you to find greater well-being through the ever present pulse of life. Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a notebook/pen and a cushion or mat to sit on. There will be cushions available if you need one.  

About Madison & Asiana:

Madison is a passionate yoga guide and Ayurvedic healer. She believes Ayurveda is the key to mind, body and spirit health. The ancient wisdom uses nature's intelligence to create healing and well-being from deep within. Madison understands the challenges that modern life brings and strives to simplify the principles and make health accessible to all.

Asiana (Kirstin Harper) has always felt a strong connection to the natural elements and how they interact in body, on earth. After studying at the Ayurvedic Institute, as well as the School of Natural Therapeutics, both in Albuquerque, NM, Asiana received certifications as a Ayurvedic Lifestyles Specialist, Licensed Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor. Asiana is also licensed in Neurosculpting®, a ‘whole-brain’ approach to re-writing old stories … ones which block us from activating our highest potential.

Ladies Night Mini Spa

Intro To Thai Massage Wellness Workshop

The Intro to Thai Yoga Massage workshop is designed to assist participants in learning basic Thai Yoga Massage techniques that can be used to help you in stretching and relaxing your body and mind.

Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art form that

        - Promotes deep relaxation and quieting of the mind

        - Increases Flexibility and improves Range of Motion

        - Offers relief for pain and muscle tension

You should Join Us because it's:

Great for all you summer weekend warriors, stressed desk sitters, exhausted parents, wellness professionals or anyone with an interest in learning more about the benefits of Thai Yoga Massage.

Minimum age requirement to attend this event is 16. Ages 16-18 must be accompanied by their parent. 

Plan and Prepare!

        -Bring a partner to practice with you if you choose or come and pair up with another attendee. Wear loose comfortable t-shirt and long pants as you will be moving in many directions.

        -Bring 1-2 pillows and a blanket per person for added comfort

        -Bring yoga mats

        -Bring a water bottle

        -And don't forget to bring your open mind, open heart and beautiful smile!

If you want to take the light rail or drive we are easy to reach.The event location is in the DTC just off I25 and Dry Creek just a half mile east of the Dry Creek light rail station. If you are driving there is plenty of onsite parking at no additional cost.

Gentle Yin Yoga, Sound Healing and Meditation

De-stress, relax, restore and rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit. Join us for a lovely evening of Restorative Yoga Sound Healing and Meditation. The evening will begin and end with Meditations to help you create and Embody your intentions for the evening as well as any life intentions you want to manifest. Your gentle Yoga flow will be accompanied by healing sounds from the ancient gong, Indian Instrumentals and other sacred instruments.


What you need to know:

 You are welcome to bring your own blankets, pillows, props, blocks, yoga mats. Some will be available on site.

 Wear comfortable clothing: Yoga or sport clothes or anything you can move in comfortably

 Warm socks (shoes will be removed at the door)

 Dress in layers to warm up or cool down as needed for your personal self

 A body/mind that's ready to explore possibilities.

Read more about your co-facilitators : Sally Gordier is the owner of Embody Massage and Wellness and has 15 years in the Wellness Industry. Sally loves to create opportunities of wellness off the table through workshops that explore your Body, Mind and Spirit through the senses of breath, meditation, movement and sound. She has a background in offering meditation for both private and corporate clients.

Scott Pridgen has over 15 years’ experience in the study, practice, and teaching of Yoga. Throughout those many years of study, Scott has become advanced in several Yoga disciplines, learned under many teachers, including in India. Additionally, he has taught AcroYoga and Partner Yoga. Scott is also a licensed Massage Therapist. His many years of experience, including teaching Thai Massage, give him a deep understanding of the body, the body’s movements, and the body’s correct alignment. Scott is particularly proud of his time as a touring musician as well as playing percussion in a traveling Kirtan band. As a result of these experiences, Scott believes deeply in the power of sound in music in healing.

Noah Rouse Wilson IV is a multi-insturmentalist based in Boulder, CO who plays Sitar, Dilruba, Hammered Dulcimer, Bass and Guitar. His music is devotional and improvisational in nature with a focus on healing and expressing the divine. Noah has been playing music for over 20 years, living a life devoted to the exploration and expression of creativity through sound and music. Whether he's offering music for yoga classes, rocking his spirit out in kirtans, or performing Classical Indian music, his musical sense and humble joy touches people's hearts and brings to life an inspiring creative essence.

Invite the Senses Wellness Workshop

To Be Announced

Invite The Senses is a Wellness Workshops designed to take you through the body/mind. This workshop will assist participants in journeying into and opening our body, mind and spirit. Using our five senses of sight, smell, sound, touch and taste we will sink into the exploration of our first three Chakras. Scott will be offering a restorative Yin style Yoga focusing on breathing and opening the body, along with using healing sounds to deepen the asana practice. To assist you on this relaxing journey; there will be Gong and Singing Bowls to assist with opening the Chakras that we will be working on, along with some didgeridoo, drums, and other Healing Sounds.

We will enjoy an evening of breathing meditation, sound healing and restorative yoga followed by tea, snacks and discussion.

What you need to know:

 There will be a drawing for a free 90 minute Thai Yoga Massage for attendees

 Bring blankets, pillows, props, blocks, yoga mats

 Wear comfortable clothing: Yoga or sport clothes or anything you can move in comfortably

 Warm socks (shoes will be removed at the door)
